Ingredients
-
1 can Goya black beans (15oz.) rinsed, drained
1 can Goya dark red kKidney beans (15oz.) rinsed, drained
1 can Goya tomato sauce, Hot (8 oz.)
350g red peppers, diced
370g yellow pepper, diced
300g red onion, diced
3 tbsp chili Powder
1 pound Perdue Ground Turkey, 85/15, drained
1 can of stewed tomatoes (15 oz.), drained
.5 tsp salt
.25 tsp pepper
Tips
I use hot tomato sauce. But if you don't like spicy foods you can just use regular tomato sauce.
The longer you cook it the better it tastes. You can simmer it for as long as you want.
To thicken it up leave lid off for the last 10 minutes. Or longer if you want it thicker.
Directions
In a large pot, on medium heat cook the ground turkey thoroughly. While doing this boil 1.5 cups of water and add 3 beef bouillon cubes until disintegrated. Drain turkey when fully browned, bring back to burner. Add the beef broth to the turkey. Now you can start to dice up the peppers and onions. (I just add them to the pot as I go). Once all the peppers and onions are in cover the pot. Now you can take a collander and empty the kidney and black beans and rinse them. When fully rinsed add to pot. Add Chili powder. Drain tomatos and add them as well as the tomato sauce. Replace lid and let simmer for an hour or longer.
