Ingredients

    4 Bosc Pears. peeled and halved
    2 cups apple cider ( or enough to cover pears)
    1 cinnamon stick
    4-5 cloves
    1 star anise
    pinch of salt

Tips

Service with a dollop of cinnamon and vanilla spiced whipped cream.


Directions

Put all ingredients in pot with lid and cook until pears are tender. Remove pears and serve. If you have time you can continue cooking the liquid until it reduces to a syrup to use over the pears.
