Introduction

This is one of my favorite bread machine recipes. It makes a very large and tall loaf. Make sure your bread machine can accommodate a 2.5 lb loaf, or you'll have a mess! Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups + 3 T. water (80* F)
    3 tsp. margarine
    4 2/3 cups bread flour
    2 T. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 3/4 tsp. active dry yeast (.2 oz)

Directions

Place ingredients in bread machine according to the order in the manufacturer's directions. Process on 2.5 lb loaf setting, French bread setting.

Serving Size: Makes 2.5 lb loaf (serving size = 1 oz)
