Introduction

Prepare TVP by soaking it in tomato juice. (2 c. TVP and 2c. tomato juice. Then prepare 2 Alarm chili as you normally would, package directions, extra ingredients, etc...simply using the TVP for beef. Prepare TVP by soaking it in tomato juice. (2 c. Ingredients

    1 T. olive oil
    1 med. yellow onion, chopped
    2 cups texturized vegetable protein
    2.5 cups tomato juice
    1 cup tomato sauce
    1 cup kidney beans
    500 g pureed tomatoes

Directions

Soak TVP in tomato juice (1 c. tvp to 1 c. juice). Saute onion in olive oil. Add TVP. Follow Wick Fowler package cooking directions, using TVP instead of beef. (I add an extra can of tomatoes and a can of beans.)

Serving Size: Makes 8 one cup servings.
