Ingredients

    6 cups Steel Cut Oatmeal (or regular)
    6-7 ripe medium bananas
    3 cups applesauce (unsweetened)
    1-2 Tablespoons Cinnamon (optional)
    4 cups Crazins, dried cranberries
    3 cups Chocolate (Dark chocolate chips)
    2 cups chopped nuts (optional)
    1 cup Grated carrot

Tips

Feel free to cut this recipe in half or even smaller. Found in a news story about a classroom excerise demonstration healthy eating. There were no nuts in the original recipe. Not sure what chocolate they used but I fell in love with Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Chips before joining Sparkpeople. Dough does not stick together easily, I might add eggs. Exchanging Cocoa for the Chocolate chips would make a chocolate cookie.


Directions

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees F
Mash bananas, mix all ingredients. Form balls with teaspoon, place on cookie sheet. Cookies do not spread so can be placed close together. Bake 15 - 20 min.
