Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1 1/2 pound very lean ground meat (I use ground sirloin or 7% fat ground beef)

    2 cans tomato sauce

    1 tablespoon onion powder
    1 tablespoon garlic powder
    2 tablespoons chili powder

Tips

serve over chopped lettuce, with cheese and sour cream for a low-carb meal. Add to macaroni and cheese for chili mac. Make taco's. Use over top of hotdogs. Put over mashed potatoes and top with biscuit crust for a shepherd's pie.

Also, freezes very well, so can save some for another meal.


Directions

brown meat with the seasonings mixed in during browning time. (about 10 minutes of time or less).

Add tomato sauce, stir, cover, and reduce heat to simmer.

Simmer for at least 30 minutes to let flavors blend
