Introduction

I started using this homemade version of granola bars that I found a long time ago, unfortunately I can't remember the source. This version is for my kids who have a serious sweet tooth so the calories are pretty high. You can leave out the chocolate chips and add more fruit and/or nuts, you can use lightened up version of the condensed milk etc. This can be switched up to your liking and your caloric needs. Ingredients

    3 Cups Oatmeal
1 Cup Coconut (sweetened) *save calories with the unsweetened flaked version, my store was out of them.
    1 Cup Chocolate Chips
    1 Cup Sliced Almonds
    1/2 Cup Sweetened Cranberries
1 14 oz. Can Sweetened Condensed Milk

Tips

I baked them on a cookie sheet with the non-stick aluminum foil and they didn't stick at all.

Directions

Combine all ingredients, grease or use nonstick aluminum foil on a cookie sheet or jelly roll pan. Press the mixture into the pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until slightly browned on top.
