Introduction

Very simple guacamole recipe. Very simple guacamole recipe.

Ingredients

    1 ripe Hass avocado
    1 medium tomato, chopped into cubes
    1/4 cup chopped onions: red, white, any kind you like
    1 serrano chile- chopped-remove seeds and veins for less heat
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    salt to taste

Tips

You can vary the amounts of any of the ingredients to suit your taste. Sometimes I also use jalapeno peppers instead, or I leave out the tomato, or add 1-2 minced garlic cloves.


Directions

1. Peel the avocado and mash with fork until you get a puree type consistency.
2. Add chopped tomato, onion, serrano pepper
3. mix in the lemon juice
4. Add salt to taste
Optional: chop a couple of tablespoons of cilantro and mix and garnish the guacamole
NOTE- when chopping serrano pepper you may want to use plastic gloves if you are sensitive to the heat in chiles.
