Number of Servings: 1

Ingredients

1 med apple, sliced and seeded
    1 T unsweetened cranberry juice
    1T Orange juice
    splash of lemon juice
    dash of cinnamon
    dash of ginger
    dash of nutmeg
    1T ground flax seed
    Stevia (optional)

Directions

Put all of the ingredients except the flax seed in a small saucepan. Add enough water to barely cover the apples. Cook about 10 minutes until soft. Mash into apple sauce (I use an emersion blender). It should be a little liquidy. Stir in the flax seed (this will absorb the extra liquid). If it isn't sweet enough add stevia to taste.

    Very Good
This was great. It had a hardy, cozy taste. I replaced the flaxseed with wheat germ. - 3/19/08
