Ingredients

    20 oz ground turkey breast
    1 Tbsp oil (canola)
    12 oz tomato paste
    2 (14.5 oz) cans stewed tomatoes
    1 C. Diced Raw carrots
    1 1/2 C. Diced Onions
    1 jalapeno pepper, seeds removed
    3 serrano peppers (stems removed, left whole)
    1/2 C. red bell pepper
    4 C diced zucchini
    3 cloves garlic - chopped or sliced
    2 Tbsp fresh oregano
    4 Tbsp ground cumin
    4 Tbsp dark chili powder
    2 tsp salt (or to your preference)

Tips

The carrots make this chili sweeter than typical turkey chili .. .. Don't be surprised


Directions

Brown the crumbled ground turkey, add garlic, carrots and onions along with half of the spices. Saute for 10 minutes - add the remaining vegetables, stewed tomatoes and tomato paste. Let simmer until the vegetables are done to your liking. At last 15 minutes add the remaining spice.
