Introduction

This is a strong curry flavored burger with a bit of a sweet side. It is best as a slider or mini-burger as it is quite rich flavored. Makes 10 small to medium sliders. Ingredients

1lb ground very lean beef (local if you can get it..your burgers will have a lot more flavor)
1 shredded carrot (I used the larger holed cheese grater)
    1 med/small shallot
1tsp powdered/dehydrated peanut (or peanut butter, creamy)
    .5tsp curry powder (yellow)
    1sp red curry paste
.25tsp Penzeys Spices, Rogan Josh Seasoning (if you don't have this, add a touch more of each the curry powder and the paste as well as a dash of turmeric powder & cinnamon)
    1TBS fresh, finely chopped cilantro
    1/4 of a lime (juice)
a very small drizzle of honey just to sweeten it a bit (raw/ local.. it tastes better.. trust me.. well worth it!)
garlic salt, peper, and sea salt to taste
thinly sliced asiago cheese (enough to top each of your patties)
    hamberger/slider buns
    turmeric powder
spinach, fresh (for topping your burgers)
Tomato, sliced, fresh (for topping your burgers)

Tips

ground lamb, duck, or bison would taste great with these burgers as well instead of beef if you would like.

If you want a more mild favored burger, halve the curry paste and powder & eliminate the turmeric. this will lighten up the flavor quite a bit.

Directions

Mix all the ingrediants together thoroughly. salt and pepper to taste. Form your burgers/sliders & place on hot skillet (or grill, but sliders can be hard to grill given the size)

keep in mind that you are using lean meat and small burgers, therefore your burgers will cook very, very quickly... don't overcook.. without that excess fat, they will become dry quickly if overcooked.

after patties are done (about 15 min on med-high) put a small piece of asiago cheese on top to melt (this can also be placed on top right as the patties are finishing up in the skillet.

after removing your patties, keep the skillet on med to high temp and place your buns on the skillet w/o cleaning/wiping. keep an eye on them till they are slightly toasted.

top burger with the asiago cheese, spinach, tomato, and mayo as well as a dash of turmeric powder if desired (tastes great!)

Serving Size: makes 10 average sized sliders (using a slider mold)
