Ingredients

1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups blueberries, fresh or frozen (thawed)
1 cup walnuts
6 TBSP melted butter
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp almond extract
Tips
This recipe is very forgiving. I have tried different fruit combs such as halved fresh cranberries, sliced apples, blackberries and substituted the nuts for slivered almonds or chopped pecans. Recipe has alot of possibilities.
Directions
Begin by combining the first 3 dry ingredients in large bowl. Add the blueberries and walnuts and toss to coat with flour mixture.
In another bowl, Melt butter and add slightly beaten eggs. Add almond extract and mix well. Add to flour mixture and mix just until well blended. Pour into a greased pie pan and bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Cut into 8 slices.
Serving Size: Makes 8 pie shaped slices
