Introduction

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    16 oz. package dried Northern Beans (white)
    8 cups low sodium chicken broth
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 cup chopped celery
    4 turkey sausage links, sliced then cut in half (half moon shape)
    1 cup chopped kale (or other green like chard or spinach)
    1 bunch fresh thyme
    salt & pepper to taste

Tips

Don't salt & pepper until the recipe is done. I found the soup needed no additional seasoning.


Directions

Place dried beans, broth and remaining ingredients (except kale) into a crock pot. Leave thyme on stem. Cook on low for 8 -10 hours. Add kale during last 30-60 minutes. Remove thyme stem before serving.
