Ingredients

    1 bunch cut into florets or pre-cut bag of broccoli florets
    2 tbsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    1 tsp of Kosher salt
    1 tsp of sugar
    1/2 cup of water

Directions

Wash, dry, and cut the broccoli into small florets. Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large pot on medium high being sure not to burn the oil. Combine the florets into the oil and stir to make sure broccoli is lightly coated in the oil. Add the salt and sugar and stir. Lightly saute the broccoli for about two minutes stirring often to avoid burning. Add the water and cover to steam until al dente. Remove and drain the excess water. Enjoy!

Serving Size: Good side dish for a family of 6 and under

    Incredible!
    Never knew broccoli could be so good. I added some red bell pepper strips for color and variety. Do not overcook! It's so much better if it's still a little crunchy. - 10/28/13
