Introduction

The ginger gives this smoothie a kick. The ginger gives this smoothie a kick.

Ingredients

    • 1 medium banana, peeled and cut into chunks
    • 1 large seedless orange, peeled and sliced
    • 2 cups plain or vanilla-flavored soy milk
    • 1 teaspoon powdered ginger
    • 3 or 4 ice cubes

Directions

1. Place all ingredients except ice cubes in blender. Cover and blend on high speed for 15 seconds or until smooth.



2. Add ice cubes, cover and blend for 15 seconds more or until well blended.



3. Serve immediately.



Serves 2.

    It was very DELICIOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Very great recipe. I added a litle cinnamon for a extra flavor. - 12/30/08

    Very interesting flavor. I think it was a bit too gingery for my taste. Next time I'll cut the ginger down to 1/2 tsp. I also added 1 tsp. cinnamon ,a dash of cloves, and vanilla extract, and honey. I substituted 1 cup fat free yogurt and 1 cup skim milk for the soy- it made a nice, thick drink. - 12/29/08
