Introduction

Lower in fat and sugar than typical cookies but still delicious! (Even better in my family's opinion) Can add walnuts, craisins, chocolate chips or anything else you want... Ingredients

    1/4 cup oil
    1/4 cup apple butter, mashed banana or pumpkin puree
    1 egg
    1/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
    1/4 cup granulated sugar

    3/4 cup whole wheat flour
    1 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
    1/2 tsp cinammon
    .5 tsp baking powder
    .25 tsp baking soda

    Optional (Use one, two or all three!)
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts
    1/3 cup chocolate chips
    1/2 cup craisins

Directions

Mix first 5 ingredients in one bowl and then dry ingredients (excluding addins like walnuts) separately. Next, stir wet into dry until just combined.
Spoon onto greased cookie sheets and bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes.
