Ingredients
-
Broccoli, frozen or fresh, florets, 16 oz
Whole Wheat Plain Breadcrumbs, 1 cup
Shredded Reduced Fat Sharp Cheddar Cheese*, 1.5 cup
Egg white, large, 5 serving
Garlic, 1 tbsp
Oregano,1 tbsp
Basil, 1 tbsp
Onion powder, .5 tsp
Rosemary, dried, .5 tsp
Thyme, dried, .5 tsp
Tips
As a dip, we used organic pasta sauce...yummy!!
Directions
I steamed the broccoli and then chopped it up kind of small. (I didn't have any breadcrumbs handy..so I put about 10 slices of bread (thin bread) in the oven for 15 minutes on 300 degrees...flipped them after 15 minutes, and cooked for an additional 15 minutes. When they are nice and crispy, I put them in the food processor until the were breadcrumb size)
Then dump all the ingredients in a bowl and mix up really well. Make little patties about 2 1/2 inches in diameter...Spray a cookie sheet with olive oil and place all the patties on pan. Bake on 375 for 18-20 minutes. Enjoy.
Serving Size: Makes 17 2 1/2 inch patties
