Ingredients
-
1 electric juicer
3 medium apples
3 large carrots
4 tsp ginger root (about a one inch piece 0r more if desired)
2 medium oranges
1 mango
9 medium strawberries'1 medium stalk of celery
1 medium to large leaf fresh kale
1-1/2 c fresh spinach
2 cloves garlic
1/3 standard size cucumber
1/2 cup cauliflower ( a good sized piece off the head)
2 plum tomatoes
Tips
The combination listed is my favorite. I do vary according to availability and also family taste (my DH husband does not like vegetables so his is mostly fruit. I therefore have to do the fruit first. I also save the compatible fruit pulp and add it to a whole wheat flour batter sweetened with honey and organic apple juice for a bread treat that is a favorite for our entire household including my three four legged members
Directions
scrub or wash vegetables and fruit. remove core, stem and blossom ends from apples. (I slice in half). Remove the ends from fruit and vegetables as needed. Peel mango and slice fruit from the seed. Peel garlic. Cut any vegetables or fruit to large for the juicer feeder. set up juicer and begin feeding produce into it. Roll the greens into small balls before placing in feeder. When finished divide equally into containers add ice and enjoy.
