Introduction

We LOVE french fries but I have replaced them with this wonderful sweet and spicy version that my whole family loves We LOVE french fries but I have replaced them with this wonderful sweet and spicy version that my whole family loves
Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

3 medium sweet potatoes, cut into long strips (like steak fries)
    1 TBLS olive oil
    garlic salt to taste
    fresh cracked pepper to taste
    dash of paprika
    dash of cayenne pepper

Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut your sweet potatoes into long thick cut fries. In a large ziplock bag, put your olive oil and all your seasonings and then add the potatoes. Close the bag and shake, turn and mix it all up until all potatoes are coated. Spread out on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 20-30 minutes, until crisp. You can also use a spray of PAM on the potatoes instead of olive oil for an even lighter version...but I love the olive oil!

    Very Good
These are really good. I was amazed that just 1 Tblsp of oil would actaully coat them. I cooked them for 30 minutes but they never did get "crisp." Maybe I cut them too thick 1/2" or so. This will go in my recipe book for sure. - 3/30/09
