Ingredients

    1 LB Cubed Lamb
    3 TBS White All-Purpose Flour
    3 TBS Margarine
    2 Medium Turnips
    1 Cup Diced Celery
    1 Small Onion
    18 Cups Water or Water and Low Sodium broth (broth will increase the calorie count)
    1 Small Bag medium Baby Carrots
    8 Large Potatoes
    2 TBS Garlic powder
    1 TBS Ground Thyme
    2 TBS Ground Sage
    1 Bay Leaf
    2 tsp Ground Ginger
    2 tsp Ground Cloves
    1 TBS Ground Basil
    1 TBS Ground Oregano
    1 TBS White Pepper
    1 TBS Mint Flakes
    Salt to flavor

Directions

In a large dutch oven, sear the lamb till no pink is showing. Remove meat from pan and melt butter or margarine, then add in the flour and reduce heat. Stir constantly for about 2 minutes then slowly add the water till a thick slurry is acheived. Add in the meat and the remaining water, the herbs and spices and the vegetables. Bring to a rolling boil, cover and let simmer for about an hour until the vegetables are nice and tender. Check the spices and adjust to your liking.

Serve with Irish Soda Bread on the side.
