Introduction

This is an amazingly delicious change from oatmeal or other hot cereals. When it was finished cooking my kitchen smelled like Apple Pie. The original recipe states this is two servings but for me it was too much. Variations below... This is an amazingly delicious change from oatmeal or other hot cereals. Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    Millet, 1 cup
*Apple Rings, Dried Granny Smith or any other type available, Unsweetened/Unsulfured 12 pcs, 4 serving
    Cinnamon, ground, 1 tsp
    *oat milk, 2 cup
    Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
Water, filtered, 1 cup (8 fl oz)

Tips

Variations: My favorite is adding a heaping tsp of almond butter; about 8 whole raw almonds, chopped; sweeten with either brown rice syrup or my favorite is real maple syrup. Be sure to adjust the food tracker accordingly.
You can also top with a Tablespoon of your favorite All Fruit Spread with a little Maple syrup.
Be creative and enjoy!

Directions

Soak the millet for a few hours, drain and toast in skillet about 20 minutes. Combine all ingredients in the top of a double boiler, cover and simmer approximately 20 minutes or till all liquid is absorbed.

Serving Size: makes four servings
