Introduction

Altered from another recipe to use brown rice, and cut down on the fat! Altered from another recipe to use brown rice, and cut down on the fat!
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    2 T butter
    3 little apples, chopped
    1 1/2 t cinnamon
    1/8 t nutmeg
    1/8 t cloves
    1/4 t kosher salt
    2 cups dry brown rice (short grain works best)
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    4 cups of apple juice
    1 C skim milk

Tips

Even though you only get 1/2 C, this dish is so creamy and rich that you feel pretty full, pretty quickly! Especially if you pair it with a hot drink and some fruit.


Directions

Rub the bottom and sides of a 4-6 qt Crock Pot with the firm butter, then break the rest into pieces. Stir everything else into the crock pot.

Just before you go to bed, set the crock pot to low!

Everything should be done in 6-8 hours!
