Ingredients

    1/2 bag dried green split peas, rinsed, drained, and picked over
    1 small onion or shallot, chopped
    2 cups Pacific Natural Foods Organic Low Sodium Chicken Broth
    1 cup water
    2 carrots, peeled and chopped
    1 celery rib, chopped
    1/8 teaspoon salt (Himalayan Salt preferred)
    1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
    3 oz. Trader Joe's Turkey Jerkey, chopped

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a 2-3 quart slow cooker and cook on high for 4.5-5 hours or on low for 9-10 hours.
