Ingredients

    2c rolled oats
    1/2c sunflower seeds
    1/2c choc chips

    1/4c canola oil
    1/4c peanut butter
    1/4c honey
    1tsp ground cinnamon
    1tsp vanilla extract

Tips

Try not to break up the granola too much when stirring while baking. If you want your chocolate to mix in with granola somewhat, put about 1/2 your choc. chips on granola when it's mostly cooled, and the chips will melt into the granola mixture. Then add the remaining once totally cooled for bigger chocolate bites.

Directions

Combine oats and sunflower seers in a bowl and set aside. Mash banana in a separate bowl until creamy and also set aside. It med sauce pan, add oil, peanut butter, honey and cinnamon and heat on med-high heat stirring often to prevent from burning. Heat until moisture is melted and beginning to bubble. Remove from heat and stir in mashed banana and vanilla extract. Pour over oats and seeds stirring until well coated. Spread on jelly roll pan lined with foil or parchment paper. Bake in oven preheated to 275* for 60 min, stirring every 15 min to prevent one side from burning. Remove from oven and let cool completely before adding chocolate chips.
