My breakfast smoothie I like the taste and get a good energy start to the day with this. This is my go to Mon-Fri when it is hectic. My breakfast smoothie I like the taste and get a good energy start to the day with this. This is my go to Mon-Fri when it is hectic.

Ingredients

    1 scoop Whey protein unflavored
    1 tsp. flax seeds
    1 tbsp. chia seeds
    1/2 cup frozen blueberries, unsweetened
    1/2 cup frozen cranberries, unsweetened
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 cup almond milk, unsweetened
    2 ice cubes

Tips

If the mixture is too thick, add a bit more water until the consistency is to your liking. When in season replace frozen fruit with fresh.


Directions

I add the frozen cranberries, frozen blueberries, flax and chia seeds, and the 1/2 cup of water to the blender the night before and put the blender in the fridge. This allows the seeds and frozen items to soften overnight.

In the morning add the Whey protein, almond milk, almond butter, and 2 ice cubes to the blender and mix until smoothie consistency.

Serving Size: Makes about 16 oz serving with all ingredents
