Introduction

These are homemade and I use a basic tortilla press. These will come out to about 6 inches and thicker than normal store bought, but taste way better. Ingredients

2 1/2 cups Bob's Red Mill Whole Wheat Flour
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
    a dash of sea salt
    1 cup warm water

Tips

It seems time consuming this way, but if you do more than one at a time the will shrink back to smaller size as they sit. Think of silver dollar tortillas. These are great for tacos and hearty soups and stews.

Directions

I used a bread machine to mix my dough, but you could use a mixer with a dough hook. Add the flour, salt, and oil in the bowl. Start mixing, when the dough is somewhat crumbly, start adding the water a little at a time. When all the water is added, mix for a few more minutes till it no longer clings to the bowl.
Remove the dough onto a little floured surface. Cut the dough into twelve equal portions. Using a tortilla press, press one ball at a time and place into a skillet that is heated to medium. Cook for a few seconds on one side then flip and cook a few more seconds. Press your next tortilla and repeat.
