Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    4 habanero peppers
    5 medium tomatoes
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1/3 cup cilantro, finely chopped
    4 garlic cloves
    1 dash black pepper
    salt, to taste
    1(8ounce)can tomato sauce

Directions

NOTE: Remove seeds from peppers and the sauce will be a little hot. Leave seed and it should be pretty firey.

Finely chop and combine all fresh ingredients except garlic. Press garlic into mixture. Add salt, pepper, and tomato sauce. Mix well. This can be pulsed in the food processor if you want a smoother texture.
Makes approx. 4 servings, 3/4 each.
*One thing to note, if you have not worked with Habaneros is to be very careful when handling as they will burn skin. I recommend using latex gloves when cutting.

(I made a huge batch this weekend and ate it with the Mexican Eggroll recipe I found on Sparkpeople! TOTALLY AWESOME COMBO!) :)
