Ingredients

    1 big bunch of Fresh Dill - stalks removed and chopped
    1/4-1/2 cup yellow moong - soaked
    3-4 garlic cloves - bruised
    1-2 hot green chillies - chopped
    1 tbsp olive oil
    cumin seeds
    mustard seeds
    turmeric
    asafetida (optional)

Tips

dont mix to much to keep the moong lentils intact


Directions

soak moong dal in warm water till it plumps up (almost doubles), drain all the water and set aside.
heat oil, add mustard seeds , let them splutter, add a little bit of asafetida, and cumin seeds, then add garlic and chillies, saute, add the drained moong, saute till it dries out

add all the dill, mix, add 1/4-1/2 cup of water, cover and let it cook in its steam.

open lid and cook uncovered if you want to reduce liquid

season with salt.

serve with bread or rice or by itself!
