Introduction

Basic Bean recipe mexican food. Can be used in chili recipes, refried or frozen for later. To add spice (heat) throw in a few jalapenos cut up or add Cayenne pepper to taste (or both). Ingredients

    2 cups Pinto Beans, cleaned & washed
    4 cloves garlic, chopped
    4 oz tomato paste
    Salt (to taste)
    Pepper (to taste)
    1 cup chopped onion

Directions

Put washed beans in med crockpot and add water top, leaving an inch clearance. Add chopped garlic cloves, tomato paste and salt and pepper. Leave to cook on high for 3 hours. Add chopped onions and cook for another hour.

Serving Size: Makes 10 1-cup servings
