Introduction

My momma's traditional sweet and savory cheese ball that is my request for our Christmas Soiree every year! This is an easy recipe, and well worth the time to create it! Ingredients

    2- 8oz packages cream cheese, softened to almost room temperature

    1 1/2 cups crushed pineapple, drained thoroughly and squeezed

    1/2 cup minced fresh green bell pepper

    1/2 cup minced fresh onion

    1 cup finely chopped pecans

Tips

Best served with crackers or veggies. My favorites are woven wheat crackers, buttery salad crackers, carrot sticks, cucumber slices, or squash slices!


Directions

1. Soften cream cheese on counter until almost room temperature.
2. Thoroughly drain pineapple through a fine mesh strainer. Squeeze out all juice.
3. Mince the onion and bell pepper. You want really small pieces.
4. Using an electric mixer, mix pineapple, onion and bell pepper thoroughly into cream cheese.
5. Refrigerate for 15 minutes while you finely chop the pecans.
6. Remove cream cheese mixture from refrigerator and form into a ball.
7. Roll the cream cheese ball in the pecans to coat.
8. Chill well, and you are ready to serve.
