Ingredients

    8 1/2 lb Pork Shoulder Roast
    1/4 cup hawaiian sea salt
    3 Tbsp liquid smoke
    1/3 cup water
    1/2 head cabbage, shredded

Tips

This can be made in 16 hours, but the longer it cooks the better it tastes.

All ingredients can be adjusted to taste.


Directions

Cover roast with hawaiian sea salt and place in slow cooker. Pour 2-3 tablespoons of liquid smoke over roast. Add 1/4-1/3 cup water to the bottom of slow cooker Cook on low for 8-12 hours.

Turn roast over and cook for another 8-10 hours.

Shred the pork, removing any large pieces of fat and bones. Save about 1-2 cups liquid and discard the rest. Add 1/2 head shredded cabbage and cook for another 2 hours. Serve with rice (not included in nutritional info.)
