Ingredients

    0.50 cup Butter, salted
    2 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
    2 tsp Cinnamon, ground
    1 tsp Nutmeg, ground
    1 tsp Salt
    2 cup Applesauce, unsweetened
    1 cup, chopped Pecans
    3 tsp Baking Powder
    1 cup, packed Brown Sugar
    1 cup Dried Cherries
    2.50 cup Whole Wheat Flour
    3 cup Quaker Oats Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats

Tips

Th applesauce is the trick of keeping these cookies low in fat and carbs. I use it as a substitute for both oils and sugars.

You can substitute the tart cherries with your choice of dried fruit and the pecans with another chopped nut. I generally freeze half of the dough to bake up later.


Directions

Preheat oven to 350* and lightly oil a baking sheet.
Cream together the first seven ingredients. Slowly add flour and Baking powder then add nuts and fruit.
Drop by teaspoon full onto the lightly oiled baking sheet.
Bake for 14 min. Cool and enjoy.
