Ingredients
-
2 cup King Arthur White Wheat Flour
1 Tbsp Baking Powder
1 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
1 tsp Kosher Salt
1/2 cup Butter, unsalted
3/4 cup Buttermilk, lowfat
Tips
If your kitchen or home is warm freeze butter until you're ready to use it and use a food processor to cut into the flour. Also don't preheat the oven and let biscuits rest on the sheet pan in the fridge while oven comes to temp.
Directions
Preheat oven to 450
Cut butter into bite size equal pieces, keep cold.
Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Cut in butter pieces with a pastry blender, or squeeze with fingertips against flour until resembles pea like pieces.
Stir in cold buttermilk until dough comes together.
On a floured surface pat dough out in a 6x9 rectangle. Fold over top and bottom like you would a business letter. Pat back out into a 6x9 rectangle and repeat 2 more times.
Cut biscuits out and place on a 9x13 sheet pan lined with parchment. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
