Introduction
Home-made Quiche, no pastry Home-made Quiche, no pastryNumber of Servings: 6
Ingredients
-
8 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
1 large Onions, raw
1 tbsp 100% Pure Rice Bran Oil (by KIWIKANER)
1 spear (about 5" long) Broccoli, cooked
250 grams Green Beans (snap)
500 grams Potato, raw
2 serving (Meat) Sainsbury's BGTY bacon medallions {per rasher} (by KAHOOMA)
1 serving 1 Med. Green Bell Pepper
Directions
Cut potatoes up into 1cm cubes, boil these until slightly soft
Cut the onion into small pieces, fry in the oil, take out of the pan then fry the bacon cut into similar sized pieces.
Let the potatoes and bacon/onion cool.
Chop up the broccoli, green beans, and bell pepper into small pieces.
When cool, layer half the potato on the bottom of a square dish. You'd want the dish to be fairly deep, the one I use is about 7cm deep and about 20cm by 25cm. Layer half the onion/bacon over top then half the bell pepper, followed by half the green beans and half the broccoli.
Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
Press down the ingredients gently to make sure they're compact.
In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs with pepper to taste. Pour this mixture over the top of the rest of the ingredients gradually, moving your pouring to make sure it spreads evenly.
Cook the quiche for an hour on 180 degrees Celsius. Check it's cooked by tipping the dish slightly to make sure the egg isn't running. Often needs another ten minutes or so.
