Ingredients

    8.0 large Egg Yolk
    1.5 tsp Paprika
    3.0 clove Garlic
    1.0 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions, raw
    3.5 cup Crown Prince Pink Salmon (3.5 servings per can)
    3.0 tbsp Spectrum Non-hydrogenated Organic All Vegetable Shortening

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to bake at 350 degrees. 2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the salmon, egg yolks, salt, pepper, and paprika. 4. With a chef knife, mince the garlic and onion. 5. Pour the garlic and onion into the salmon mixture, and stir to combine all ingredients. 6. Using your hands, form the salmon mixture into 2 ounce patties, and place each cake on the parchment lined baking sheet. 7. Bake salmon cakes for 15 minutes. 8. Remove the cakes from the oven, and heat the fat in a cast iron skillet over medium to medium-high heat. 9. Fry the cakes for about a minute on either side in the fat, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside. 10. Serve with a squeeze of lemon. Serving Size: 6 2 inch patties
