Introduction
Was look for a tomato sauce that I could control the salt and calories in. I developed this on a whim and well it came out awesome. Cooking time is high but this can be made in bulk and frozen for later use.Dump the Sausage if adding another protein. Was look for a tomato sauce that I could control the salt and calories in. Ingredients

3 lbs Ripe Tomatoes Peeled & Chopped
1 Can (1.75 cups) Tomato sauce
4 cloves Garlic
1/2 tsp Garlic Power
1 medium onion chopped
1/2 tsp oregano
2 bay leaves
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (Optional though recommended)
1 tsp Italian seasonings
1 Tbsp Splenda
2 Italian Turkey Sausage cooked and crumbled
Salt & Pepper to taste
Directions
Saute Onions and garlic cloves in olive oil until onions are starting to clear.
Add Tomatoes, Onion Powder, Oregano, Bay leaves, Salt & Pepper, 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning, Red pepper flakes. Bring to Boil and simmer for 15 min.
Remove from heat, remove bay leaves and puree in either food processor or blender till desired textured.
Add back to heat and simmer with garlic powder, rest of Italian seasoning, tomato sauce and sausage. Simmer min of 30 min better longer simmered.
Watch the pepper flakes as this gets hotter the longer simmered, the suggested added amount give this a medium bite omit, or add less if wanted.
