Ingredients

    16.0 oz Owens Maple Sausage
    16.0 oz Ground beef, lean
    3.0 cup, chopped Cabbage, fresh
    2.0 cup, chopped Onions, raw
    3.0 serving 1 Med. Green Bell Pepper
    1.0 cup Tomatoes, red, ripe, canned, with green chilies
    1.0 cup Rice, white, long-grain, regular, raw, enriched
    1.0 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap

Directions

Cook meats, onion and bell pepper in skillet just until the veg begin to soften and meats are no longer pink. Drain and place in large bowl with the remaining ingredients. Loosely place all in a 10 cup rice cooker or in a large casserole dish. In cooker, set for standard rice run. Rerun if too wet after complete. In pre-heated oven, cook at 350° first 30 minutes. NOTE: Substitute cooked and crumbled liver for the ground beef to get a "dirty rice" flavor. Also celery and garlic are good additions.
