Ingredients

    * Green Peppers (bell peppers), 50 grams
    * Ground Beef, lean, 100 grams
    * Carrots, raw, 2 medium
    * Onions, raw, 1 small
    * Mushrooms, fresh, 2 medium
    * Estima Potato, raw, 1 small (1-3/4" to 2-1/2" dia.)

Directions

Firstly put your potato onto boil and leave cooking for about 20 minutes.
Meanwhile take your Peppers, Carrots, Onion and Mushrooms and chop them into suitable size pieces, depending on how chunky you want the final pieces in the pie.
When all the chopping is done put your onion into a hot saucepan and brown for a few minutes until golden brown.
Add your mince to the pan and stir well. Brown the mince and begin adding in the other chopped vegetables.
Stir for about 10 minutes until everything is looking browned and tasty!
Scoop your mixtures into a small casserole dish and take your potatoes off the boil.
Slice your potato into layers about half a centimetre thick and lay over the top of the mixture. (Using this instead of mash potato reduces the calories enormously!)
Put in the oven at 200 degrees C for around 30 minutes.
An extremely filling meal that will leave you wanting nothing else for the evening....Tasty!!!!!

    Very Good
    tasty and a good way to reduce calories.

    In the UK using minced beef makes a cottage pie, using lamb mince makes shepherds Pie.
