Introduction

Hi Protein Chili - Great for bariatric surgery patients. The flavor is mild. You can add more heat to your taste if you desire. My family loves this and never even missed the beans! Ingredients

    1 lb. Jennie-O Lean Ground Turkey
    1 lb. Extra Lean Ground chicken
    2 lbs. cubed Beef Stew Meat
    1 Onion, chopped
    2- 14 oz. cans Del Monte Petite-Cut Diced Tomatoes
    24 oz. can Crushed Tomatoes
    2 small cans Sliced Mushrooms
    2 cup Bell Peppers, chopped (Red, Yellow, Orange)
    2 tbsp Chili Powder
    2 tbsp *McCormick Ground Cumin
    1 cup (8 fl oz) Water
    2 tbs minced garlic or 2-3 cloves fresh minced
    2 packets stevia sweetener
    Salt and Pepper to taste

Tips

Tastes great with some 2% Sharp Cheddar on top!


Directions

Brown meats. Drain. Add diced peppers, onions, minced garlic (optional) to pot and sauté for a few moments. Add meat back into pot, then add tomatoes, water, mushrooms, seasonings and salt/pepper to taste. Simmer until beef cubes are tender. I used an electric pressure cooker for 18 minutes. Makes the meats especially tender and blends flavors together beautifully.
