Ingredients

    2/3 cup Milk, 2%, with added nonfat milk solids, without added vit A
    2.0 stick Butter, unsalted
    1.0 tsp Salt
    1.0 tbsp Vanilla Extract
    3.0 medium (7" to 7-7/8" long) Banana, fresh
    2.0 tbsp Baking Powder
    0.5 cup, packed Brown Sugar
    2.0 cup Flour, white
    2.0 cup Whole Wheat Flour
    2.0 tsp Cream Of Tartar
    3.0 cup Quaker Oats Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats

Directions

Combine flours, baking powder, cream of tartar; set aside. Blend mashed banana, sugar, vanilla, melted margarine, and milk until fairly smooth. Add in dry ingredients and mix just until moistened. Pour out onto floured board. Incorporate more flour if dough is too sticky. Cut dough in 8 parts and roll or pat each ball into a circle. Cut into 8 wedges. Place on parchment paper on baking sheet at least a half inch apart. Bake 425 for about 10 minutes, until light golden brown. Serving Size: 64

    I used this recipe as a basis for making a coconut banana oat scone that was delicious! I will add my version to track the calories & nutrition but will give you credit for inspiration! I will make these exact next time I have whole wheat flour on hand. - 4/28/21
