Introduction

Tastes just like a gyro! Tastes just like a gyro!
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

2 lbsTurkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean
    1 small Onions, grated
    2 cloves Garlic
1 package (10 oz) frozen spinach
    2 tbsp *Flax Seed Meal
    3 tbsp Feta Cheese
    1 tbsp Cavender's Greek seasoning
    1 tsp dried mint

Directions

Grate the onion and drain in a fine mesh strainer. Add rest into a large bowl and mix together. Squishing it with your (Clean) hand really works best. Try to smoosh the larger pieces of feta between your fingers for more even distribution. Divide into 4 equal sized balls. Form into large pita bread sized patties. It will shrink a little and puff a little in the center during cooking so don't be afraid of how big they are. Heat a frying pan on medium on large burner. Add a little olive oil or spray with Pam. Cook patties for 6 minutes per side. Keep warm in stove. After sitting in warm oven for at least 5 minutes, cut patties in half. They will now fit very nicely in a pita pocket. Add lettuce, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce and you're in business! Enjoy! Serve with warm pita and hummus. **Nutritional count is only for the burgers. It does not factor in pita, lettuce, tomatoes, or tzatziki.
