Ingredients

1.5 cup Trader Joe's Black Beluga Lentils, cooked
1.5 cup cremini mushrooms, chopped, sauted till dry & browned
1-2 Tbsp Nutritional Yeast Seasoning
1/2 cup Bread Crumbs, Panko (Japanese style), Kikkoman
6 oz Fisher Chef's Naturals Chopped Walnuts, small chop
1 cup, finely chopped Onions
3-4 clove Garlic, finely chopped
2 tsp Thyme, fresh, chopped
1 tbsp Sage leaves, fresh, finely chopped
1 tsp Pepper, black
1 tsp Salt Kosher Kroger
4-5 large Eggs (start with 4, add the 5th if mixture not holding together)
Tips
This can be made vegan by using an egg replacement and gluten free by using GF bread crumbs in place of the Panko.
Directions
Cook lentils if you're starting from dry.
Saute mushrooms until most of moisture is out.
Saute onions and garlic until softened.
Mix all ingredients, except eggs, together thoroughly. Taste and add salt and pepper to taste.
Add eggs and mix thoroughly.
Fry in your favorite oil - I like olive oil.
Serving Size: Makes 12 large burger patties or 24 slider-size burger patties
