Introduction

Easy to make! Easy to make!
Number of Servings: 40

Ingredients

    8 cups whole oats
    .5 cup canola oil
    .5 cup Maple Syrup
    1 tbsp Cinnamon, ground
    .75 cup slivered almonds

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees (335 6500' elevation).

Mix ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl, put in shallow metal baking pan and bake for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and turn the granola to keep the bits in contact with the pan from burning. Bake another 25 minutes until golden brown. You might try baking longer (e.g., 26 or 27 minutes) in this last phase to find the degree of "doneness" you prefer as the sugars and almonds browned longer add extra flavor.

Top with raisins or fresh fruit like strawberries when you have a bowl. Or try 1/2 cup Greek yogurt topped with 1/4 cup granola and 2 tablespoons raisins.
