Introduction
Basic "Savory" flax crackers. Basic "Savory" flax crackers.Number of Servings: 48
Ingredients
-
1 cup Flaxseed
8 tbsp *Flax Seed Meal (ground flax)
2 tbsp chia seeds
1 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
1 tbsp Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Ground Red Pepper (by AZMELODY)
2 tbsp Basil
Tips
This is a loose interpretation of the recipe. The looser the dough, the easier it is to spread, however cooking time will need to be adjusted. Essentially we are trying to dehydrate the crackers during the last stage of baking. This will make them crisp without burning the seeds.
Directions
Preheat over to 350
Mix Seeds, ground flax and spices
Mix water with vinegar
While mixing pour water mixture over seeds and mix until it forms a loose "dough"
Line a baking sheet with parchment and spread dough thinly over parchment.
Using a pizza cutter or knife, score dough.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Using another piece of parchment flip the crackers over and peel the old parchment off the crackers.
Turn oven down to 200 and return tray to the oven.
Continue to bake until crisp. May take 30-60 minutes.
