Ingredients

    192 gram(s) Bob's Red Mill Old Fashioned Rolled Oats (Gluten Free)--1/2 C dry = 48g

    1 cup Barley, pearled, raw
    0.5 cup Wheat bran, crude
    1 tbsp Cinnamon, ground
    1 tsp Ginger, ground
    1 tsp Nutmeg, ground
    0.25 tsp Cloves, ground
    0.25 cup, slivered Almonds
0.25 cup, hulled Sunflower Seeds, without salt
0.25 cup Pumpkin Seeds (whole seeds, roasted)
    0.25 cup, chopped Walnuts
    0.25 cup, chopped Pecans
4 tbsp unsweet shredded coconut (by SLAPPYRAD)
0.125 cup Currents, dried (by INCHWORM1)
    0.125 cup, halves Apricots, dried
    0.125 cup Dried Cherries
    0.125 cup Apples, dried

Tips

Swap out grains, nuts, seeds, dried fruits with others of the same category and proportions. Your totals should be 4 1/2 cups grain, 1 1/2 cups seeds/nuts, and a 1/2 cup dried fruit. Make it your own!

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 F
Mix grains and spices together and spread onto two baking sheets.
Mix nuts and seeds and spread onto single baking sheet.
Bake for 5 minutes, stir all trays. Repeat at least twice more for grains and at least once more for nuts/seeds. Until colour shifts, watch for burning.
While that's happening cut up dried fruit into small pieces.
When everything is toasted, mix together grains, nuts and seeds - stir with hands. Mix in dried fruits one at a time with hands.
Store in air-tight container.
To serve add some fruit juice of choice and grate some apple on top and your choice of fruit (add these calories on top).
Another option is to do over-night oats style with 2/3 milk product of your choice - mix together and leave overnight - add fruits of your choice.
