Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    3 Apple (medium) thinly sliced
    3 tbsp water
    1 can Pinto Beans
    4 can Great Northern Beans
    1 can kidney beans
    1/2 c. Ketchup, Heinz
    2 tbsp Ground cinnamon
    1/4 c. Nature Nate's honey
    1 tsp Salt

    Add water and apple slices to crock pot then add beans and ketchup. I suggest adding only 1 tbsp cinnamon at first and then add know cinnamon and honey towards the end of cooking to taste. I found that it was very sweet and very strong cinnamon tasting for me and will probably cut those in half the next time I try it.

Directions

Cook in crock 2-4 hours on high or 5-8 on low depending on your machine. Mine cooked much quicker.

    I had not used fruit in my beans before (I used to add mashed turnips to them) so this was an interesting idea. I did add cinnamon and honey to taste and did not use the recipe amount. Good if interesting looking. - 2/27/20
