Ingredients

    20 spears of asparagus, washed & trimmed
    2 Tbsp of magarine
    1 clove of garlic, minced
    Salt & Pepper

Directions

Place butter and garlic in a saute pan. Sweat garlic for about 2 min. Add asparagus. Stir ocassionally. Cook until tender but still crisp. add salt and pepper to taste.
Makes 4 servings / 5 spears per serving

    Incredible!
    I used real butter, not this disgusting margarine crud. Using butter made from milk produced by grass-fed cattle makes this a more KETO friendly dish. Also margarine has trans fats. Ewww. - 12/11/16

    I've used this recipe with olive oil rather than marge for many years, though recently I've been steaming or microwaving the asparagus instead.
    If you don't have fresh garlic, dried minced garlic or garlic powder both work well. So does a sprinkle of chicken or vegetable bouillon powder.
