Introduction

Zesty blend of flavors! Zesty blend of flavors!
Number of Servings: 2

Ingredients

Delmonte sliced pears, no sugar added
1 bag Baby spinach salad (6 oz)
    1/4 cup pecans
1/3 cup Canola or low-fat Mayonnaise
1 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
    3/4 Tsp sugar free syrup
    3/4 Tbsp poppy seeds
    1 1/4 Tbsp water

Directions

Wash spinach salad and toss with pears and pecans. (I use canned pears and drain the liquid but you can also use fresh...if you use fresh then you'll want to use about 2 or 3 small pears, cored and chopped. You can also substitute walnuts for the pecans. I usually use whatever I have available). Combine mayo, vinegar, syrup, poppy seeds and water; drizzle over salad and enjoy!

    Very Good
I had fresh pairs and spinach that were just starting to go past ripe and I had a potluck. I changed the dressing a bit using up some that I already had, but it came off wonderfully and not much of it came back from the potluck! (that's a sign of success, in my book!). - 8/27/11
