Introduction

Ingredients

Cottage cheese (crumbled) - 200 gms
Onions finely chopped - 1 cup
Tomatoes chopped - 2 large
Green peppers/Red chilies - 2
Garlic - 2 cloves and ginger - 1 slice (alternatively ginger garlic pastes available can be used)
A few coriander leaves/coriander powder
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Butter - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Directions
1) Heat a wok/pan until medium hot.
2) Add a tsp of butter until it melts and add cumin seeds
3) Add ginger and garlic and then saute the onions and peppers until the onions turn golden brown
4) Add the tomatoes and stir until they get soft. Mash the tomatoes using a spoon/ladle.
5) Add the coriander leaves (coriander powder can also be used) and salt.
6) Add the crumbled cottage cheese and mix. Leave it for five minutes until all ingredients are properly mixed.
At times, the cottage cheese could be damp, in such a case, keep stirring the mixture on heat until it is fairly dry.
Different vegetables can be added to this such as green peas, bell peppers etc.
This dish should be served hot and can be used in sandwiches, with breads and rice.
