Introduction

This is my mother-in-law's chile recipe. Very simply and my husband's favorite. She used tomato juice, but I've substituted V8 to get more variety of vegetables into my husband! Ingredients

    V8 juice
    lean ground beef
    dark red kidney beans
    light red kidney beans
    onion
    chile powder
    salt

Directions

Brown ground beef and onion. Add ground beef mixture, beans and juice and simmer for at least one hour on the stove or 4 - 5 hours on low in a crock pot. Makes 6 one cup servings.
